SD-WAN Zero Touch Provisioning
SD-WAN Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) is a key benefit of SD-WAN allowing systems to be provisioned and configured automatically, significantly reducing cost and manual overhead.
SD-WAN Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) allows devices to be configured and provisioned automatically in an effort to reduce operational and overhead costs. When hardware is installed ZTP automates follow up steps including updates to OS, patch deployments, and bug fixes while implementing new features prior to connection. This greatly reduces the necessary expertise of an installer since a factory device can receive and apply settings once connected to the network without local action being taken.
The central management of devices in an SD-WAN solution is one of the major draws of the architecture, allowing for the deployment of new branch or data center provisions without costly manual labor traditionally involved with network upgrades
